Sanitation

Clean Campus, Healthy Students

We prioritize hygiene to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment. Clean classrooms, sanitized facilities, and health awareness are part of everyday life. At ST. Claret High School, cleanliness is not a task—it’s a shared responsibility.

At St. Claret High School, we place utmost importance on maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our students and staff. A hygienic campus is the foundation of quality education, and we ensure that every corner of our school reflects cleanliness and care. Our sanitation practices are designed to promote not only physical well-being but also mental focus and academic productivity.

We maintain a dedicated housekeeping team that works throughout the day to keep classrooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas clean and sanitized. Toilets are cleaned multiple times a day using approved disinfectants. Proper handwashing facilities are available in all washrooms, and hand sanitizers are placed at key locations such as entrances, staff rooms, and near playgrounds.

Our school promotes personal hygiene awareness among students through health education programs and regular reminders during morning assemblies. Topics such as hand hygiene, clean eating, and responsible waste disposal are included in our life skills curriculum. Posters and visual aids across the campus reinforce hygiene habits in a student-friendly way.

Clean drinking water is supplied through RO-filtered water dispensers, which are regularly serviced and tested for quality. Dustbins with lids are placed in every classroom and around the campus to prevent littering and encourage waste segregation. Wet and dry waste is collected separately and disposed of responsibly with the help of local municipal services.

We also emphasize eco-friendly sanitation practices such as reducing plastic waste, using biodegradable cleaning products, and maintaining greenery around the school. Composting units are used for biodegradable waste generated from school gardens and food areas.

Regular pest control and deep cleaning services are carried out on weekends and holidays to keep the environment safe and germ-free. Our sanitation staff is well-trained, equipped with protective gear, and follows all health and safety protocols as per local government guidelines.

In the wake of modern health challenges, especially post-pandemic, we have strengthened our sanitization efforts even further. High-touch surfaces like door handles, railings, benches, and learning aids are disinfected daily. Temperature checks and cleanliness inspections are conducted regularly.

We believe that a clean school is a safe school. Sanitation is not just the responsibility of the staff—it is a culture we instill in our students. By involving them in cleanliness drives and awareness campaigns, we build responsible future citizens who understand the value of hygiene.

At St. Claret High School, we are committed to providing a clean and healthy environment that supports learning, safeguards health and nurtures discipline. Our sanitation policy reflects our broader mission—to raise responsible, well-rounded individuals in a setting that is clean, safe and inspiring.
