Our Patron

Our school proudly bears the name of its heavenly patron, Saint Anthony Mary Claret, a 19th-century Catholic Archbishop of Cuba and the founder of the Congregation of the Claretian Missionaries. Born on December 23, 1807 in Sallent, Spain, he began his life as a successful businessman. Yet, material wealth and success could not fulfill his deeper spiritual calling.

Moved by a profound love for God and humanity, he left behind worldly ambitions to become a priest. His passion for spreading the message of divine love led him to establish a religious congregation devoted to missionary work, using "all means possible" to serve both God and humankind.

Saint Claret was not only a spiritual leader but also a gifted teacher and prolific writer. His powerful sermons, insightful lectures, and countless writings inspired transformation among the faithful. As a champion of social justice, he launched bold initiatives to uplift the poor and marginalized, striving to integrate them into the broader society with dignity and respect.

A true prophet of his time, he fearlessly confronted oppressive systems and called for a renewal of spiritual and moral values. His life was a testament to unwavering faith, deep compassion, and selfless service.

Despite facing persecution and exile, Saint Anthony Mary Claret remained steadfast in his mission until his death on October 24, 1870. He was canonized as a saint in 1950 by Pope Pius XII and today, he continues to inspire us as a model of faith, courage, and love.
